2017 Summer Camp

Our Camps are a blend of recreational and educational activities designed to keep youth engaged both physically and mentally. All Camps include weekly Field Trips, Swim Lessons, Art, Tech Programs, Social Recreational Programs, Organized Sports, and so much more!

Dates: June 19, 2017– August 25, 2017
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (Structured Camp Activities)

Extended Care: 6:30am–8:30am and 4:30pm–6:00pm
*Provided at no additional cost

Cost: $50 2017-2018 Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem membership fee (incoming 1st –12th graders), $25 camp registration fee, $225 per week.

*$10 off per week for each additional child in a family

Camps

Dependent upon incoming grade level as of September 2017
  • Lil’ Explorers (Preschool-Kindergarten, must be at least 4 years of age)
  • Camp Funtastic (Grades 1-5)
  • Tween Camp (Grades 6+ until 13 years of age)
Included: Weekly Field Trips, Pool Time, Art, Tech Programs, Social Recreation, Organized Athletics, and so much more!

Specialty Programming (may include but not limited to): PGA Sports Academy, Microsoft Coding and Design, Jr. Chef, Cooking Matters, Positive Players (Theater), and Sailing. Details to follow via email at a later date - registrations will be separate from camp sign-ups and accepted on a first come, first served basis.

All past due account balances must be reconciled before camp registration can take place. Only children with a current Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem membership will be permitted to register for summer programming.

Financial Aid applicants will not be allowed to register for camp without submitting the following paperwork:
  • Tax Form 1040 (NOT a W-2)
  • 2 Recent Paystubs from each parent/guardian
  • A completed application for financial assistance
Space is Extremely Limited!

*Teen Camp Drop-In programming will be available free of charge to all teens 13-18 years of age (must not have surpassed 12th grade) with a 2017-2018 membership to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem Monday-Friday 6:30am to 6:00pm. Policies

  • Accounts must be current in order for camp registrations to be accepted. Please reconcile outstanding balances before you register.
  • Enrollment is limited and registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
  • All campers must possess a 2017-2018 membership to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem. Membership is aligned with the fiscal year, costs $50 annually, and is non-refundable. You can obtain/renew membership paperwork or verify your child’s membership status by visiting the Club’s Front Desk, calling 603-898-7709 x10, or by emailing info@salembgc.org. (The membership fee is waived for children entering Preschool or Kindergarten in the fall of 2017).
  • A non-refundable camp registration fee of $25 and deposit of $50.00 per week will be required upon registration for each child.
    • Financial Aid Applicants – For each child, a camp registration fee of $25, deposit of $10 per week, completed Application for Financial Assistance, Tax Form 1040, and 2 recent pay stubs for each parent or guardian will be required upon registration.
    • For State Aid Applicants – A registration fee of $25 per child will be required upon registration. You must file an application with the Division of Family Assistance and complete a Child Care Provider Verification form before your child(ren) can attend camp.
  • All tuition balances must be paid in full by June 9, 2017.

  • All new registrations will require full payment upon sign-up starting June 12, 2017.
  • Any changes to enrollment must be requested in writing (info@salembgc.org) at least 2 weeks in advance and are subject to availability of resources.
    • Any cancellations and/or “no shows” without appropriate prior notice will result in the loss of funds paid for the week(s) in question.
    • All deposits/fees are NON-REFUNDABLE but may be transferred to another week of camp (if available) or credited to your Club account.
  • Checks returned to us by the bank will incur a $25 charge.
  • Campers must attend field trips with their assigned group and will not be allowed to stay at the Club during a field trip under any circumstances.
  • In addition to having a policy of non-discrimination, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem strives to include all children, including those with special needs, and will attempt to make any and all reasonable and accommodations. We encourage parents of children with special needs to communicate with staff about their child’s needs. We will make every reasonable effort to have our staff trained to work more effectively with each child’s particular needs. We are committed to serving all children. A $25 fee will be incurred each week an aide is needed to cover the cost of field trips.
