Established in 1947, YOY is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program for Club members, promoting service to Club, community and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability. The program is a year-round tool for fostering young people’s character, personal growth and leadership qualities.
“Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem showed me that I can do big things in small ways.”
Chosen to represent our state in the Regional YOY competition, 17 year old Jodi Gosselin of Salem will be heading to New York City in August.
Jodi truly embodies the values that exemplify a YOY and is excited about this journey. In preparation for the next phase, she is preparing in several different areas. We have enlisted the help from several community groups and establishments including: Kiwanis Club of Salem, Toast Masters of Windham and Lord & Taylor.
As a leader in the fashion arena, Lord & Taylor was be the perfect partner to provide Jodi with the tools to “Dress for Success”. We would like to thank Lord & Taylor for providing Jodi with two “business casual” outfits as well as a personal shopper to help Jodi learn how to shop for the professional world. These outfits will be worn by Jodi as she represents our state at the regional competition.
We are very proud of Jodi for all that she has overcome and has learned throughout this journey.
