What is Membership? As a Boys & Girls Club, we are required to have an annual membership fee of $30 and offer service to members. All programs run at our facility by our staff, including summer camp, require that participants have active memberships. The annual membership fee is $30 and allows entry into our facility. As a member, your child may participate after-school, on days off, and in special events. Please stop by the front office or check our website frequently for information about member activities.

What are the Fees? The monthly fee is the fee that we require to reserve a spot for the next month's service. This covers the cost of transportation from the school and care for the afternoon. We require that you pay the first month's fee when you register your child. The registration & monthly fee is $230 before 8/31/2011, $240 after (ASEP)/$150 (Early Bird) unless you sign up for the weekly/perday program if available. For weekly/per day participants, the fee is $11 (Early Bird)/$17(ASEP) per day with a minimum of 2 days per week payment. A child must be registered and paid for at least 2 days before they can attend for that week. Weekly participants who attend 1 day will be charged for 2 days. If there is a snow day or vacation day in that week, the payment can be used towards the snow day or vacation day fee ($17). The annual membership fee is not included in any of these fees and must be paid seperate.

What Activities are included in the after school program? Activities include, but are not limited to, arts & crafts, cooking, gym games, billiards, ping pong, foosball, homework, swim, and more. Computers are available for homework and school projects. Our Education Director monitors and assists activities in the homework/computer lab.

My child does NOT need bus service to the club. Can they still participate? Children who do not use our bus service can be dropped off after-school to participate as long as they have any active membership ($30 annually). Children attending WOODBURY MIDDLE SCHOOL in Salem can walk over after-school as long as they have active memberships. Children in Woodbury or who do not need the club's transportation service DO NOT need to register for the After School Enrichment Program.

Do you offer a Family Discount for siblings? We do not offer a family discount, but we do provide financial assistance if your family qualifies. Financial aid is first-come first served based on eligibility. Financial aid information can be found here.

Do you offer Financial Aid? We do offer financial aid if your family qualifies. Financial aid is first-come first served based on eligibility. Financial aid information can be found here.

My child attends Woodbury Middle School. Is there a bus from Woodbury? No, but children attending Woodbury may walk over or be dropped off afterschool as long as they have an active membership ($30 annually).

Is Food provided? Although food is not provided as part of your registration, food is available. We offer various snack items at a very low price. We emphasize healthy eating habits through our cooking program. Vegatables and fruits are a common menu item.

Can I register only for certain days? Yes, but we require that you register and pay for at least two days per week regardless of how many days your child attends. A daily registration does not reserve a spot for your child for more than a week at a time.

What happens if the School Year is Extended from snow days? The after school program will end at DATE TBD regardless of when the last day of school is. The Early Bird program ends on the last day of school.

What should I do if a School Bus is Listed as Full? Is there a Wait List? If a school bus is listed on our website as Full, please email ksalemi@salembgc.org with your request and we will get back to you when an opening becomes available. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR A FULL BUS or you may lose your payment. The online registration will not prevent you from registering and paying for a full bus, but you will not be registered regardless. If you have done this in error, we may be able to void your transaction under 48hours.
Please let us know if you no longer need to be on the wait list, so we can contact another child when the time arrives.

I registered online and never received a confirmation email. Why? Once submitted online, you should automatically receive an email with your confirmation. If you have misspelled your email address, you will not receive an email. Please also check your bulk mail as some email accounts block us or consider us spam. There is also a possibility that your registration was never submitted or there was an error processing your payment. Please email ksalemi@salembgc.org or call 603-898-7709 ext.22. Never assume that you are registered if you have not received an automatic confirmation email.

If you have any additional questions please contact the Boys & Girls Club – (603) 898-7709
